Experience so far
The selective blood cleansing removes IgE from the skin or at least reduces IgE levels significantly. Experience so far shows that, although a rapid improvement in the atopic eczema does not occur, 2/3 of patients benefit from long-term stabilization of their condition. Disease activity declines significantly after treatment. The itching usually disappears first and the eczema rashes decline in severity too. Some patients have been able to reduce their medicines as a result of treatment. It is too early to say whether treatment needs to be repeated to keep up the response. More data is required before this question can be answered.
